Android to PC File Transfer Without USB
Send photos, videos, and files from your Android phone to any PC instantly — no cable, no Bluetooth, no app install. Just a browser on both devices.
Step-by-Step: Android to PC
On your PC — Create a Room
Open http://localhost:3000 in your PC browser (Chrome, Firefox, or Edge). Enter a name and click Create. A share link and QR code appear.
On your Android — Scan the QR Code
Open Chrome on your Android phone. Go to http://localhost:3000 and tap Scan QR to join. Point your camera at the QR code on the PC screen. You'll join the room instantly.
On Android — Pick Your Files
Tap the drop zone or the file area to open the Android file picker or gallery. Select photos, videos, or any files. Tranzo handles the connection recovery if Chrome briefly suspends while the picker is open.
On PC — Accept and Download
Your PC shows an incoming file modal. Click Accept & Save. The file transfers directly from Android to PC at full speed. No intermediate upload, no waiting.
Sending from PC to Android
The process works both ways. Create the room on your Android, share the QR code with your PC, then drag and drop files from the PC. The Android download directory receives the file automatically.
Tips for the Best Experience
- Same Wi-Fi = fastest speed. When both devices are on the same network, Tranzo connects directly over LAN (no internet hops) and can reach 50–100 MB/s.
- Keep Chrome in foreground while transferring large files on Android to prevent aggressive battery management from suspending the tab.
- Use QR code scanning — it's faster than typing the room URL on a phone keyboard.
- Multiple files at once — select multiple files from the Android gallery in a single picker session.
Why Not Use Bluetooth or USB?
Bluetooth tops out around 2–3 MB/s and requires pairing. USB requires a cable and sometimes drivers. Tranzo over Wi-Fi is dramatically faster than both, requires zero hardware, and works even when the devices are in different buildings or countries.
